Rick Farmer

Rick is a physical education specialist with 15yrs teaching experience at Ecole Seven Oaks Middle School to go along with his over 20yrs of hockey coaching/ teaching experience.  He is also the program director/ instructor with the 7 Oaks Hockey Skills Academy, an officially lisenced Hockey Canada Skills Academy within the Seven Oaks School Division. In 2005 Rick began operating Advantage Off-Ice Conditioning Camps as a combination full time summer conditioning program and a winter team training supplementation. Twist Conditioning certified in sports Movement 1.

Colin Shaw - Colin  is a physical education teacher and department head within the Winnipeg School Division. He is also a certified trainer and works with a variety of talented athletes.  Colin will take charge of our off ice activities where he will incorporate age approriate programming. 

Joy Chyzzy - Yoga Instructor 

Joy Chyzzy- developed a love of stretching/yoga to balance the physical demands of training and coaching in the gym. With more than 10 years’ experience with teaching at Moksha Yoga Winnipeg.

 

Actively involved in sports her whole life- she finds a purpose to educate athletes the importance of cross training with a well-rounded skill set, including motivational stretching. Joy has a University degree in Kinesiology and has developed a passion for studies related to Sports Psychology; she recently completing her studies in Faculty of Education and currently working in various Manitoba Schools.

Her solid educational foundation allows her to create a good mixture studies related to performance into practical performance experience benefiting each athlete to perform their full potential. Joy’s experience aligns well with the Hockey camp philosophy creating a positive learning environment and motivational techniques.
