Bruce Sirrell
 

 

Bruce has 21 years of hockey school and coaching experience, including Director of Hockey Operations for both Iron Man Hockey School (12 years) and Explosive Speed Training (7 years). He is a Physical Education Teacher with the Winnipeg School Division and has taught and coached at a variety of ages and ability levels.

Bruce has coached numerous players that have gone on to play at an elite level, including Frazer McLaren (San Jose Sharks - NHL), Joe Barnes (Carolina Hurricanes - NHL), Codey Burki (Colorado Avalanche - NHL), Kevin Clark (Winnipeg Jets - NHL) and Jonathan Toews (Chicago Blackhawks - NHL). He has had the opportunity to work with coaches Stan Butler (Team Canada/IMG) and Scott Arniel (former coach, Columbus Blue Jackets - NHL).

Tim Friesen

 

Tim is a high school teacher in Winnipeg, and is the head instructor for the Churchill Hockey Academy. He is a certified Hockey Canada Skills coach, having trained with Hockey Canada in Calgary. Having coached for over 20 years, his coaching resume is a lengthy one, featuring 13 Years of AAAA High School and 10 Years coaching city AAA, AA and Minor Hockey.Tim co-owned Iron Man Hockey School with Bruce Sirrell, which was an invitation-only hockey program for strong players. Players attending the WHL would be those individuals invited to attend this elite camp. Tim has had the privilege of working with a lot of elite hockey players over the years, many of whom have gone on to make hockey their careers. Since having his own children, Tim has also focused his attention to developing minor hockey players through the Mini Blues hockey program.

Rick Behun

​

Rick has 17 years of coaching and hockey school experience, including TMHA hockey camps.

Rick has also run his own pre-season hockey skills program for the past 6 years, helping players to get in shape and prepare for their upcoming tryouts and hockey season.

Doug Johnson

​

​

Doug is a certified Hockey Canada Skills coach, having trained extensively in Ottawa. He has coached hockey at different ages and levels, but spends most of his coaching time at the Bantam and midget level. Most recently Doug has worked with WHL players that return home each summer to train, as well as Bantam and Midget AAA players, many of whom have been drafted by WHL teams and are looking to make the jump to the next level. Currently Doug is coaching a Bantam AA Railcats team having previously coached a High School Hockey team. Doug has also assisted Hockey Manitoba with their selection process for their U16 POE program. He has previously taught at Canadian Professional and Coach International hockey schools as well as assisted at the GDI summer goalie camp. Doug is a Winnipeg firefighter who has run his own pre-season hockey skills program for the past 17 years, helping players to get in shape and prepare for their upcoming tryouts and hockey season.

Rick Farmer

​

Rick is a physical education specialist with 13yrs teaching experience at Ecole Seven Oaks Middle School to go along with his over 20yrs of hockey coaching/ teaching experience.  His coaching resume includes 8yrs of spring hockey, AAA bantam, AA minor bantam, boys high school and currently both his daughters minor hockey teams.  He is also the program director/ instructor with the 7 Oaks Hockey Skills Academy, an officially lisenced Hockey Canada Skills Academy within the Seven Oaks School Division. In 2005 Rick began operating Advantage Off-Ice Conditioning Camps as a combination full time summer conditioning program and a winter team training supplementation.
